The consultant will be part of the IO Base infrastructure server team for Linux & open source systems.
Role:
- Strengthening / Back-filling the existing Linux team of 2 FTE to manage and further automate our Linux environments.
- Existing resources focus on new strategic cloud services such as Azure Container, Azure Virtual Machines and further automation.
Main tasks consist of:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux server 7/8 installation, configuration, patching, automation and hardening with Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Ansible Tower;
- Red Hat Identity management IPA;
- Collaborate to the setup of a Cloud platform (IaaS and PaaS);
- Continuously monitor security aspects of the Linux platform;
- Enhance documentation, governance approach and structured processes;
- Provide 3rd level Linux support;
The candidate should clearly indicate the major high-skill areas.
Technical skills :
- In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Linux Operating System 7/8 and higher;
- In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Ansible, Terraform and Python;
- Good understanding of Cloud technology (Azure Container, Azure Virtual Machines and further automation);
- Good understanding of network technologies and configuration in a corporate environment.
Soft skills:
- Good team player and willingness to collaborate inter- and intra-team;
- Correct follow-up of tasks and priorities;
- No specific certifications are required but experience in big environments with strict regulatory requirements is a non to be ignored must.
Language skills :
- French / Dutch: active knowledge of one of these 2 languages, at least passive knowledge of the other language; (understanding / speaking / writing technical documentation / reading);
- English (writing documentation / support): active knowledge.
Working Hours :
- Normal NBB working hours (from 07h45 to 17h45): 5 days from Monday until Friday (7h36 per day).
- Assistance to systems modifications and/or support that are executed outside normal working hours or during weekends and holiday periods may be possible.
Work location :
- Work location is National Bank of Belgium, Boulevard de Berlaimont 14, 1000 Brussels.
Remote working :
- Remote working can start after integration/training period;
- Remote working is permitted following 50/50 schedule.
Security verification willingness :
- As from September 1, 2024, persons, who are assigned under a public contract,
