Job description
The team is in charge of the deployment, integration and support of COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) server-side application within the NBB IT environment.
To perform these tasks, you’ll work closely with different infrastructure teams (to provide the required bricks: Network, virtual machines, OS, database, …) as well as customers (IT and business).
Even if most of the applications are market-common technologies, the Bank aims to modernize the applications and started a cloud and container journey.
Hard skills
- You’re used to the Windows Server and Linux basic OS administration.
- You’re able to write PowerShell scripts.
- You’re used to work and configure Tomcat/Apache.
- You know how to manage SSL and Application certificates.
- You have basic knowledge on how a DBMS works.
- You understand the network principles. (basic)
- You understand how modern authentication processes work (SAML/OAuth)
- You have knowledge on container administration. (optional)
- You have knowledge of Azure concepts. (optional)
Soft skills:
- You’re a team player but can also work autonomously.
- You’re capable of understanding and challenge infrastructure schema.
- You’re capable of writing efficient documentation and share your experience with others.
- You’re capable of presenting technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- You are aware of the importance of the IT security.

Working Hours:
- Normal NBB working hours (from 07h45 until 17h45) ; 5 days from monday until friday ( 7.36h/day)

- Work location is National Bank of Belgium, Berlaimontlaan 14, 1000 Brussels
Remote working:
- Remote working can start after an integration/training period;
- Remote working is permitted following a 50/50 work schedule on monthly basis.
Security verification willingness:
- As from September 1, 2024 persons, who are assigned under a public contract, to positions considered as critical, must agree to undergo this security verification and obtain a positive security opinion.
