The MISSION

 

IT Project Manager / Team Lead

 

Purpose of this role

Athora Belgium has to implement a regulatory project named Transparency.

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of the Sigedis legal project in Belgium. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, coordination, and execution while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The purpose of this project is to communicate to the regulatory platform the new Sigedis declarations as for 01/2026 and manage the pension sheet flow.

The IT Project manager / Team Lead will report directly to the IT director and collaborate closely with the overall business project manager.

KEY CONTRIBUTION AREAS

  • Working with diversity of stakeholders (IT, Business, functional/technical experts, architect, testers) to define and manage the scope, planning and deliverables of the changes and project
  • Ensures close support and cooperation with the business project managers of Program Transparency
  • Builds, leads and motivates multi-disciplinary teams to achieve the core project business objectives
  • Identify, distribute and follow-up all IT tasks in the project based on the technical analysis
  • Effective management of, and communication to, the project stakeholders, often at Senior Executive level
  • Ensures project lifecycle, execution and reporting is in compliance with PMO standards
  • Ensures effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure that all stakeholders and delivery partners understand their role/scope in project execution
  • Manages project resourcing
  • Puts project communication structure in place to facilitate communication between delivery teams and stakeholders, and ensures that problems are identified and raised to the appropriate levels for resolution.

 

 

PERSONAL CAPABILITIES REQUIRED

 

  • Capable of building strong, meaningful relationships with internal and external parties alike, with demonstrable influencing skills at senior levels
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Hands-on common sense approach with minimal IT technical expertise/literacy in infrastructure and applications
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and organization skills. Comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High levels of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy required. Results-oriented with a “can-do” attitude –adaptable, flexible and resourceful to work through short and long-term issues/

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven track record in delivering large IT projects
  • Minimal IT expertise (infrastructure and applications)
  • 5+ years project/programme management experience
  • Experience with a recognized Project Management methodology (Agile and/or waterfall), accreditation is a plus
  • Experience working with multiple IT service providers and solution integrators
  • Fluent English and French is a requirement for this role
  • Life Insurance, pension second pilar/Sigedis regulatory Knowledge is a plus.
